Spinoff TV shows have become one of the most essential parts of shared superhero cinematic universes like the MCU. Unfortunately, while there is now more superhero content than any fan could possibly hope to watch, very few, if any, of the series tied to existing movies or TV shows actually feel essential. Too often, they exist because a successful franchise needs more content, rather than because there is another worthwhile story to tell.
