Four years on from Reacher's first season, the show was right to move on from these beloved supporting characters. The Lee Child Jack Reacher books follow the titular character as he wanders across America (and, on occasion, abroad) and gets into various violent misadventures. One of the best elements Child introduced from the beginning is that each book is essentially standalone.
