Every Main Character & Actor Who Left S.W.A.T (& Why)

Throughout its long run, S.W.A.T.saw its fair share of actor departures, which is par for the course for a series that made it through the better part of a decade. Several main characters left throughout the run of the show, which left S.W.A.T. bringing in new faces and having to explain away absences, or stuck in a cycle of seeing their main characters' roles reduced to guest appearances. CBS originally canceled S.W.A.T.after season 7, but the network unexpectedly reversed the decision shortly after. Unfortunately, its planned cancelation meant that several characters were written out of the show prematurely.
