Spider-Man's fate in Avengers: Infinity War was almost much, much worse for the young MCU hero, based on the Russo brothers' comments about the movie and the alternative story routes they considered. Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame are rightfully considered two of the best superhero movies of all time, with the drama and poignancy of their stories being closely tied to the pretty major list of characters who die or have dramatic endings in them.
