Set after the events of 2025's Superman, the new Supergirl movie is heavily inspired by Tom King and Bilquis Evely's critically acclaimed Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow comic, so much so that the movie originally had the same title as the book. However, there are some key changes between the original comic miniseries and this new DCU movie.
