Horror sequels are a mixed bag, with many never matching up to the originals, but there are some sequels that arrived over a decade after the movie they followed, and they lived up to all expectations. There are several horror movie sequels that even ignored previous sequels in the franchise, trying to offer something better than what came before, and in the best cases, it worked out perfectly. Halloween is a perfect example of this, ignoring every previous sequel and only following up on the first film.
