While it was already exciting to hear that Arnold Schwarzenegger’s iconic fantasy franchise was on the way back to the big screen in the near future, the announcement of an animated Prime Video spinoff series makes this revival even better. It is a great time to be a fan of fantasy, and an even better time to be a fan of R-rated, dark, mature, epic fantasy. Ever since HBO’s Game of Thrones season 1 became a massive success in 2011, the genre has gone from strength to strength.
