The Bearseason 5, which brought the chaotic series to a peaceful end, honored its former guest star Rob Reiner in a beautiful way after his December 2025 passing. Throughout The Bear's five season run, guest stars became a part of the series that often felt overwhelming for viewers who were trying to follow along with the ups and down of the restaurant's staff. While there were welcome additions, some of the show's plots spun out to feature guest stars far more heavily than the main cast, which often bogged down the story in ways that felt unnatural or contrived.
