When George Lucas sold Lucasfilm to Disney in 2012, the Star Wars franchise was in a very different state than where it is now. Then, there were only six films, beginning with The Phantom Menace and ending with Return of the Jedi. Additionally, there was only one running series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and no live-action shows had been made.
