Much has been said about the current state of the Star Trek franchise, and not without good reason. Not so long ago, there was a Star Trek series for every occasion, from the more reflective Star Trek: Picard to the watch-with-your-kids Star Trek: Prodigy. As quickly as the streaming arms race started, so too has it started to dissolve, and that TV empire is gradually being deconstructed. Audiences can look forward to one more season of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy and two more of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, but both shows are ending thereafter.
