NBC Effectively Clears Benson & Stabler’s SVU Romance After Chris Meloni Update

Finally, Olivia Benson and Elliot Stabler's long-overdue romance in Law & Order: SVU is now cleared to happen thanks to an official update about Chris Meloni's NBC future. After giving long-time followers hope that the pair will finally act on their feelings for each other, Dick Wolf's iconic franchise has yet to deliver on that promised payoff for the characters. Admittedly, the bait-and-switch tactic has been frustrating for those strongly rooting for them to finally be together, especially since moving their relationship forward doesn't seem to be a priority for the universe.
