Over the years, we have been treated to adaptations of video games on the big screen to mixed results. For a long time, movies based on video games were considered to be bad. Audiences quickly grew tired of seeing these beloved games get turned into poorly received films that end up not feeling all that much like what they had played for so long. Super Mario Bros., Doom, Street Fighter, and Alone in the Dark are just some of these disappointing projects that gave video game movies such a bad name.
