Adapting beloved books into live-action films or television series has always been one of the most difficult endeavors in the entertainment industry. Translating the depth, world, and characters from page to screen is not an easy feat. While TV shows like Game of Thrones (the first five seasons) and films like Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings trilogy have done an impeccable job of bringing their source material to life, others mishandle their literary counterparts, resulting in stories that feel like hollow echoes of their inspiration.
