Kevin Costner first rose to prominence in the late ‘80s, with his lead roles in Brian De Palma’s crime thriller The Untouchables and back-to-back baseball hits Bull Durham and Field of Dreams. Then, throughout the ‘90s, Costner became an unstoppable powerhouse. He starred in massive blockbusters like JFK, The Bodyguard, and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, and even stepped behind the camera to become a two-time Oscar-winning filmmaker for directing and producing Dances with Wolves. He had some flops in his heyday, from Waterworld to The Postman to the lesser cousin of Tombstone, Wyatt Earp, but he spent that whole decade comfortably on the A-list.
