After the ending of The Boys season 5, episode 6, the show caught up with the titular group, which was running low on hope, patience, and ideas on how to stop Homelander. Now that the villain has V-One in his system and is, for all intents and purposes, immortal, The Boys were struggling to find reasons to keep fighting.
