After debuting as Leroy Jethro Gibbs in the JAG episodes “Ice Queen” and “Meltdown,” Harmon subsequently anchored NCIS for its first 18 seasons and the first four episodes of season 19. Gibbs’ cool and collected demeanor made him an effective team leader for a select group of agents in the law enforcement agency. He even had a unique lineup of rules that he closely adhered to in both his professional and personal lives (Harmon’s favorite is Rule 9).
