Netflix's Castlevania Animated Series Launched A Separate Universe

Netflix’s adaptation of Castlevania takes some wild liberties with the source material, but it was still great enough in its own right to launch its own separate franchise. It’s a dangerous game to do an unfaithful adaptation of a franchise that fans are passionate about, because whatever you replace the original story with will be held up to extreme scrutiny.
