James Patterson's most iconic detective is getting a new life with Ben Watkins at the helm in Prime Video's Cross. The Washington D.C.-based detective and forensic psychologist has been the lead of 32 novels by the bestselling author, and first made his way to the screen with 1997's Kiss the Girls, which starred Morgan Freeman as Alex Cross, which he reprised with the 2001 sequel Along Came a Spider, which was actually the first book in the series. He would later be brought back with the 2012 franchise reboot Alex Cross, which starred Tyler Perry in the titular role.
