Gary Oldman pitches his return as a new character in the upcoming Harry Potter HBO TV series. Adapting the books by author J.K. Rowling, the first Harry Potter movie was released in 2001, with Oldman eventually making his franchise debut as Sirius Black in the third film, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004). Oldman's Black would appear briefly in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005) before meeting an untimely end in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007), a plot point that is sure to be recreated in Harry Potter HBO TV series, which is set to release on the streamer next year.
