Casting films is a tricky business, and sometimes it doesnt quite go to plan. In long-running film series, its usually expected that actors will reprise their roles throughout those movies but sometimes they dont. While the character can be dropped from subsequent films, sometimes theyre just too important, and so they have to be recast.
