Updates on the exciting sci-fi sequel, Edge of Tomorrow 2, have me both happy and hopeful that the 10-year agonizing wait could end. When I first watched Edge of Tomorrow, I thought it was an intriguing twist on the classic time travel premise. Most time travel films focus on a character's singular chance to change the past. Edge of Tomorrow, however, allows the protagonist to have multiple tries, creating some unique storytelling. I have wondered in the intervening years what more could be done with this premise, making these updates on Edge of Tomorrow 2 incredibly welcome.
