Outer Range season 2 is coming to Amazon Prime Video, and there are already several hints at what’s next for the Josh Brolin sci-fi neo-Western. Set in Wyoming, Outer Range follows ranching family, the Abbotts, headed by household patriarch Royal (Brolin). Often described as Yellowstone meets Black Mirror, the neo-Western setting of Outer Range takes a huge sci-fi turn when a mysterious black void appears on the Abbot’s ranch. Created by Brian Watkins, the first chapter of the show was a hit for Amazon Prime Video in 2022, and it set the stage for Outer Range season 2.
