Two and a half years after the KPop Demon Hunters, Netflixhas another guaranteed animated hit that continues its theatrical success on streaming. Sony Pictures Animation’s KPop Demon Hunters is still an unmatched streaming success, having accumulated over 325 million views to become the most-watched original title in Netflix history. Besides its plot and visuals, KPop Demon Hunters owes its success to its acclaimed soundtrack, which made history as the first film score to simultaneously land four tracks in the Billboard Hot 100 top ten, ultimately securing Academy Award and Golden Globe wins for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song.
