When astronaut John Crichton accidentally enters a wormhole and finds himself among the misfits on board a living spaceship with a symbiotic pilot, this would turn out to be a comparatively tame plot in TV's wildest space opera. Farscape is one of the best space shows of the past 30 years, with an action-packed storyline, characters provided by Jim Henson's Creature Shop, and storylines that ranged from heartbreaking to hilarious.
