At the end of Lanterns episode 5, the Green Lantern TV show put an end to its 2016 timeline. That had been the main timeline explored by the series thus far, with Kyle Chandler's Hal Jordan and Aaron Pierre's John Stewart investigating an alien-related mystery with a True Detective tone — one of HBO's best TV shows ever — in a small rural town. That is now over, with the Manhunter found and killed.
