The legacy ofStar Wars'Expanded Universe lives on in a new Disney-era series. The Expanded Universe, now better known as Star Wars Legends, includes virtually every book, comic, video game, and TV show created alongside and in addition to George Lucas' six mainline theatrical Star Wars movies between 1977 and 2014. The only true canonical stories were those George Lucas had direct involvement in creating, including the six Skywalker-centric movies (and their licensed adaptations) and eventually, the animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars saga (not to be confused with Genndy Tartakovsky's Star Wars: Clone Wars, which became part of the Legends continuity).
