HBO is known as the ultimate go-to for dragon lovers, but Prime Video is officially slated to take over. Although HBO has held the title for dragon fantasy, the label is a little misguided in 2026. Their only real claim to this title, in terms of original content, is Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon. They don’t have an abundant portfolio, but the dragon scenes they do provide are great. I’d rather fewer shows with better dragons than more shows with half-assed scaly beasts. However, it’s still just two shows. One is finished.House of the Dragon only has two seasons left before it’s off the air.
