While Lee Cronin’s The Mummymight be a solid horror movie in its own right, Blumhouse’s franchise reboot suffers from one major issue that a lot of viewers predicted when its earliest trailer dropped. Even more so than most horror franchises, the Mummy movies have changed considerably over the years. Since the series started way back in 1932, it is no surprise that their style, tone, and content have fundamentally changed in almost a century of cinema history.
