The Accountant 2 director Gavin O'Connor teases the sequel's tone and the ways in which the new movie expands the franchise's worldbuilding. Following the success of the first film in 2016, Ben Affleck is now set to return as Christian Wolff in an action-packed follow-up. The Accountant 2's story will feature Christian and his brother, Brax (Jon Bernthal), teaming up to uncover a human trafficking conspiracy surrounding the murder of Ray King (J.K. Simmons). As the trailer already teased, the sequel is set to shake up the formula from the original movie.
