For such a long-running show, it is no surprise that Supernatural has had a few changes over the years, but one particular season 1 episode showcases how much the show changed the Winchester brothers’ most common enemy: demons. Due to the ever-evolving nature of the fantasy series, with each season pitting a stronger supernatural villain against Sam and Dean Winchester, Supernatural has a stakes problem. Supernatural’s villains needed to become more interesting as the show went on, but there were a lot of monsters that Supernatural didn’t change much from season 1 to season 15, such as vampires and ghosts.
