Musicals often go overlooked at the Academy Awards, but there are a handful of career-defining performances in the genre that have received the notable accolade. Chicago is the latest musical to win Best Picture, with recognition for the genre largely coming in the form of wins in the acting categories. Several of these actors play the lead or supporting roles in what's considered to be some of the best musicals of all time.
