Though the first movie was a mixed bag, the success of video game movies in recent years has spurred Sony to green-light Uncharted 2. The Uncharted movie is more or less an origin story for Tom Holland's live-action Nathan Drake, and a prequel to his treasure-hunting adventures in future big-screen adaptations of the hit games. While Uncharted closes out its story, the film's ending certainly lays the groundwork for a possible sequel, with Uncharted 2 finally being announced several years later.
