Taron Egerton has teased the connections between his upcoming Netflix movie and the seminal Bruce Willis classic Die Hard. Based on Roderick Thorp’s 1979 novel Nothing Lasts Forever, the producers of 1988’s Die Hard had originally approached a number of well-known action stars to assume the role of John McLane, including both Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Eventually, however, director John McTiernan settled on Bruce Willis, best known at the time for his role in the television comedy Moonlighting.
