Marvel Studios already has the perfect idea for an MCU sequel to Deadpool & Wolverine, thanks to a canceled six-year-old plan for a Deadpool 2 spinoff in 20th Century Fox's X-Men franchise. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman's debut MCU movie as Deadpool and Wolverine has quickly become one of the franchise's most successful installments, which makes the development of a sequel all but inevitable. Whether Jackman reprises his long-running role of Wolverine yet again or not, Deadpool's return to the MCU could open up wild new opportunities for the ever-growing franchise.
