Dune: Prophecy episode 2 ends with Emperor Javicco Corrino sparing the life of Duke Ferdinand Richese rather than letting Desmond Hart kill him. Played by Travis Fimmel in Dune: Prophecy's cast, Hart has become an enigma in the series, as he's original to the show and possesses powers that aren't shown in the books. He's a soldier who survived several tours on Arrakis before his squadron was killed off in an attack. He was then swallowed up by a sandworm and managed to live, being "reborn" with strange abilities.
