The first movie made over $709 million worldwide on its estimated $150 million budget, representing massive returns for the sci-fi action movie. It was the fifth-highest-grossing movie worldwide of 2007, and the highest-grossing of any film that year not from an existing cinematic franchise. This first Transformers movie featured a leading cast including Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Anthony Anderson, and Rachael Taylor.
