The original indefinite release delay for Mickey 17 has now been explained by director Bong Joon-ho. The sci-fi drama, based on Edward Ashton's novel, centers on a disposable employee sent on a dangerous mission to colonize an ice-world called Niflheim, only for the inadvertent creation of multiples of him to spark chaos on the planet. Robert Pattinson leads the ensemble Mickey 17 cast in the titular role alongside Naomi Ackie, Steven Yeun, Mark Ruffalo and Toni Collette.
