A teaser for Beetlejuice 2 confirms how Michael Keatons iconic character died, which was left a mystery in Tim Burtons 1988 original movie. Bringing back Keaton as the titular demonic ghost, Beetlejuice 2 dives deeper into his personal backstory and origins as hes summoned by the Deetz family members for the first time in over 30 years. While the original Beetlejuice only hinted at who he was prior to death, the 2024 sequel actually gives a glimpse at Keatons iconic character when he was alive including a scene of the moment he dies.
