The Bosch franchise is set to expand once again with the announcement of a Rene Ballard spinoff that will help to introduce the popular character from Michael Connelly's books. The entire TV franchise began back in 2014 with the premiere of Bosch, which chronicles the titular detective as he ruthlessly hunts down the truth while working the Hollywood homicide beat in Los Angeles. Deftly adapting Connelly's best-selling book series, Bosch enthralled viewers throughout its seven-season run but was canceled in 2021. However, Harry Bosch didn't stay away for long, and was quickly brought back in a revival series.
