The upcoming Prime Video show Young Sherlock will have an upcoming network rival. Young Sherlock will mark director Guy Ritchies return to the popular detective IP. Ritchie originally directed the 2009 Robert Downey Jr.-led version of Sherlock Holmes, which was then followed up by Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows in 2011. A Sherlock Holmes 3 movie has been in development for years, but the official production of the TV series Young Sherlock has been announced, marking the next entry into Ritchies Holmesian oeuvre.
