Wolf Man producer Ken Kao has explained whether Blumhouses latest monster movie remake will connect with Universals previous plans for an interconnected Dark Universe. Starring Christopher Abbott and Julia Garner, this latest attempt at remaking Universals classic 1941 werewolf movie is slated for a January 2025 release. While a Wolf Man reboot was originally planned to take place within a shared cinematic universe established by 2017s The Mummy, the movie's lackluster critical and commercial performance led Universal to reconsider their once ambitious Dark Universe plans.
