Doctor Who writer and showrunner Russell T Davies has teased that the show's Ruby Sunday parentage reveal could prove to be a shock. Davies, who helmed the revival of the show back in 2005-2010, before returning to the franchise in 2023, has overseen production of the first four series of the show, alongside five specials, before returning to oversee the Doctor Who 60th anniversary specials, and the franchise's move to Disney+. Doctor Who season 14 will star Fifteenth Doctor Ncuti Gatwa, with Millie Gibson to co-star as companion Ruby Sunday, a girl who is abandoned as a baby.
