Russell T Davies introduced an entirely new concept in Doctor Who "The Giggle" with bi-generation, but he took things a step further, suggesting all the previous incarnations were also bi-generated. With RTD returning to helm Doctor Who after Chibnall's controversial era, there has been a lot of excitement for the veteran Doctor Who writer to return. Not only did RTD play a pivotal role in reviving the series in 2005 after the series was dormant for almost 10 years, but he also served as the first showrunner and guided the stories for the first two Doctors after the show returned.
