The underwater civilization depicted in Godzilla: King of the Monsters has a connection to the titular Titan that goes beyond it just being his home. Godzilla: King of the Monsters featured scientists deciding to use technology developed by Monarch to wake Titans around the world, with the idea that they could heal the planet from damage created by humans. Titans, after all, have been shown to be able to terraform. The plan, however, goes awry, and King Ghidora and Godzilla fight for dominance with assists by Rodan and Mothra.
