Adam Sandler confirms that Happy Gilmore 2 is currently in the works. Released in 1996, Happy Gilmore remains one of Sandler's most beloved films. The movie, which was directed by Dennis Dugan, stars Sandler in the title role as a hockey player who tries to make it big in golf to save his grandmother's house. In March, Christopher McDonald, who played Shooter McGavin in the film, let slip that Sandler was possibly working on a script for a sequel.
