For fans of a show, there's never a good time for a TV show to be canceled, but when a show is just starting to become great the situation is made even worse. There are many reasons why a show might be canceled before its time, and no project is immune. Some of the greatest TV shows with high critical acclaim aren't able to justify their production cost because not enough people are watching. However, when the value of a show is obvious, it will become a cult classic even if there are only a few seasons available.
